Howdy All,

Can't believe that it is coming up on a year since Shaq and I moved to Sunny South Dakota, and soon we may be making another move. More about that later.

Shaq is doing well. We just got back from swimming at McCook Lake, so he is tired and just laying out in the yard. The weather has been on and off the last couple of months. Either blazing hot or raining. Shaq prefers the heat that way he gets to go swimming more often. Since I wrote last we have hosted both Labfest, where 4 labs were in the house playing all the time, and LabStock where we had 8 labs in the house. Both were great times and Shaq really enjoyed it.

Work is moving along. Gateway Servers are going well. Once again Gateway servers were ranked as fifth by IDC. So two quarters in a row as the number 5 server vendor. We are happy about this since we were 11th a year ago. Wish I could take all the credit, but we have a great team working on Servers, both in Irvine and in South Dakota.

I have been on the road for much of the last couple of months. Mostly Trade shows and Intel launch events doing a lot of press relations and such. Hit San Francisco, Chicago, Portland, Vegas, and am about to head out to New York for PC EXPO next week, then a vacation in San Francisco toward the end of the month which will culminate in another Intel event.

A month or so ago Gateway announced that it was going to move its corporate offices to San Diego and its Gateway Business Division (which I am in) to Irvine California. Hence the ossibility that Shaq and I may be moving again.

Now don't get excited, it is not a done deal yet. I know we would get more visitors in a more desirable location then sunny South Dakota (If you only came here you would see what a lovely place it is). Shaq and I will not be moving to Southern California if we have to loose our standard of living. Our options are to stay in South Dakota with a different group inside Gateway (not likely for long) or find another company to work for. So if you know of any great opportunities for someone who has built successful product lines let me know. Which ever way the ball bounces we will come out on top. And we will keep everyone posted.

Well, that is about it. Shaq and I are doing well, work is going along, I travel a bit to much and as usual my life has a healthy dose of stress. We miss all our friends.

Cheers and the best to each of you and your families. And if I don't send a note out before July 4th happy Independence Day.

Ray & Shaq
